Regal Cinemas Pastime Pavilion 8 is closing Thursday. The theater is at in Northlake Village at 929 North Lake Drive. There are four other Regal Theaters in Lexington-Richland area.

A Twitter post Monday afternoon by @RegalMovies reads: In response to an increasingly challenging theatrical landscape and sustained key market closures, Regal will suspend operations at all theaters at close of business on Thursday October 8, 2020 until further notice.

The theaters closed in March when the COVID lockdown began. Regal opened about six weeks ago until the closing was announced for Thursday.

The Lexington site had been renovated and upgraded about a year ago, according to a post on its Facebook page.
