Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died as the result of a two-car collision in the 5000 block of Fish Hatchery Road in Lexington County at approximately 4 P.M., Saturday.
 
According to Fisher, Mrs. Valerie Renee Dimick, 49, of Lexington was a passenger in an SUV traveling southbound on Fish Hatchery Road when the vehicle she was in was struck head-on by another vehicle
traveling northbound. 

Mrs. Dimick, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead due to the injuries she sustained in the accident.  Mrs. Dimick’s husband was transported to an area hospital where he is currently reported to be in stable condition. The
driver of the other vehicle was also transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. 
 
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office
continue to investigate the incident.
