Lexington Two has made the decision to close on Thursday, August 8, due to forecasts of substantial rain and gusting winds, with some of the heaviest expected in the morning hours when buses and drivers would be on the roads.

All Lexington Two after-school activities and programs, including athletics, are canceled  on Thursday.

As we noted in an email earlier this week to Lexington Two staff and families, we are making daily decisions about school schedules for Thursday and Friday, August 8-9, given Tropical Storm Debby’s path and potential impacts for our area. We expect to communicate the school schedule for Friday, August 9, on Thursday afternoon.

We continue to monitor weather conditions, in consultation with local and state weather and emergency preparedness officials. Should any further schedule changes be necessary, we will communicate them through our school communications systems, our district and school websites and social media, and local media.
