Lexington Two Innovation Center for career readiness dedicated, Tuesday

Lexington Two School District officials dedicated the district’s newest facility, Tuesday.

A ceremony was held for the state-of-the-art Lexington Two Innovation Center at 509 Bulldog Blvd, Cayce.
Students began using the 110,000-square-foot Innovation Center in October. Joni Coleman is the L2IC’s director.

State Sen. Nikki Setzler and Cayce Mayor Elise Partin spoke at the dedication ceremony. There were also self-guided tours of the facility after the ceremony. Innovation Center faculty were on hand for questions.
Students in the Culinary Arts program, under the direction of instructor and Chef Isaac Pressley, prepared refreshments.

The Innovation Center houses a number of college and career readiness programs for high schoolers as well as dual enrollment and Advanced Placement courses.

Programs include:  Automotive Collision Repair; Automotive Technology; Building Construction; Culinary Arts; Computer Programming; Cosmetology; Digital Art and Design; Engineering; Electricity; Firefighting; Health Science; Multimedia & Animation; Sports Medicine; and Welding.
