
Lexington School District 2 is accepting nominations for inductees into the district’s Fine Arts Hall of Fame
Lexington School District Two is accepting nominations for its second class of inductees into the district’s Fine Arts Hall of Fame.
The Lexington Two Fine Arts Hall of Fame recognizes individuals and groups who have demonstrated excellence in art, music, theatre, dance, or creative writing. An inductee may be a graduate from Airport High School or Brookland-Cayce High School (minimum five years ago); a Lexington Two educator who greatly contributed to arts in the district; a community member(s) who has given time and resources for the advancement of the fine arts in Lexington Two; or any combination of the three.

A panel of judges will select three inductees for this year’s Hall of Fame class, from nominees who meet a minimum of three of the following criteria:
- Outstanding talent
- Positive member of the Lexington Two community (past or current)
- Contribution to the success of Lexington Two arts program
- Significant career of note after high school in the fine arts
- Teacher, administrator, or staff member who made extraordinary contributions to fine arts in Lexington Two (once they are finished working in the district)
- Community member who has made extraordinary contributions to fine arts in Lex2
- Outstanding character
Nominations may be submitted through this Google form: https://forms.gle/Qz2KLjjTEmi538Ph9. The deadline for submissions is August 15.
Inductees in last year’s inaugural class were William E. Ackerman, Dr. Deborah Smith Hoffman, Vicki Stilwell Horne, Larry Francis Lebby, Eva Pilgrim, and Keith Williams. Members of the Fine Arts Hall of Fame are featured in a display at the Lexington Two Performing Arts Center.
This year’s class of inductees will be honored at an October 16 reception.
