A Lexington Regional Rehabilitation Hospital is being built at 3085 Taylor Road in Cayce. It’s on the street leading into Concord Park near Cayce Elementary School and Busbee Creative Arts Academy (or Middle School) off of 12th Street Extension. It’s scheduled to open in 2023.

According to its website, Lexington Regional Rehabilitation Hospital will provide rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. The goal is to help patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence.

There are also similar facilities in Elgin, Greenwood and Spartanburg in South Carolina, as well as several other states.
