Teen found safe after being forced from his home by 2 males with guns

UPDATE, Monday, May 4, 2026 at 6:58 p.m.: Sema’j Corvin Gardner was found safe by detectives Monday evening with the assistance of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI, officials state.

According to the Lexington County Police Department, the investigation will continue and updates will be provided as information becomes available.

Initial report: The Lexington Police Department is searching for Corvin Gardner, age 17 of Lexington, after he was forced from his home on Hendrix Street by two unknown Black males who were armed with handguns on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 10:00 pm.

Witnesses saw the kidnapped juvenile and two subjects walking towards Barr Road from Hendrix Street, and they are believed to have gotten into a car and left the area.

Corvin Gardner is 5’8″ and weighs 118 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has a large tattoo on his right forearm.
