Message from Lexington Police Department:

Those who usually use Augusta Road (US-1) as part of your morning commute are asked to consider an alternate route as signal lights are on flash in the area of I-20 and will likely be out as SCDOT begins work at 6:30 a.m. to fix the issue.

LPD officers will be directing traffic at all intersections in the area of Augusta Road at I-20 from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

If passing through the area, please drive alert as officers will be directing traffic in the roadway.
