Lexington Police responded to a collision on South Lake Drive (SC-6) at I-20 Sunday afternoon. The crash resulted in the outbound lanes and one inbound lane being closed.

First responders were working to clean up the site of the crash around 5:30 p.m.

All lanes were reopened and the collision was cleared from the road by 6:15.

The wreck was caused by a driver who came off I-20 driving too fast and struck a vehicle lawfully passing through the intersection, said police.
