Lexington Police officers help deliver baby in parking lot

Sgt. Bill Hobbs and Cpl. Nic Beza of the Lexington Police Department helped deliver a baby in a vehicle in a Lexington parking lot, Tuesday morning. The parents, on the way to the hospital, had to take a detour because of a blocked interstate.

According to an LPD report the baby is “healthy, happy and will always have a unusual birth story to share.”

The parents are Lendsey Holt and fiance, Dalis Brock.

Officers checked in on mom, dad and baby Olivia Brock at Lexington at Medical Center.  LPD photo.
