Lexington Police make 3 DUI arrests Sunday morning in Sober or Slammer campaign


The Lexington Police Traffic Safety Unit worked through the Labor Day weekend on the Sober or Slammer campaign. The LPD reported it made three DUI arrests on Sunday morning from 2 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

According to the LPD, one driver had a Blood Alcohol Content of .27 percent. A 20-year-old driver was arrested for being impaired on alcohol and drugs. Another driver had a BAC of .15 percent. She told officers that she had slept in a gas station parking lot for several hours and didn’t remember driving from Columbia to Lexington.
