The Lexington Police Department is investigating an early Sunday morning shooting in the parking lot of the Summer Cove apartment complex. No one was struck by gunfire.

A resident of the complex, who is believed to be involved in the shooting, was taken into custody. Detectives continue to interview witnesses. A shelter in place request issued early Sunday and residents can return to their apartments. Railroad Avenue will reopen shortly.
