At approximately 7 p.m. on Monday, May 25, Cooper Eugene Gainey, age 16, left his home on Autumn Stroll Court in Lexington with a shark graphic book bag on his back and a black trash bag in hand. The teen is being described as a runaway by the Lexington Police Department.

Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green is requesting the assistance from the Town of Lexington community to help find Cooper Eugene Gainey.

He is 5’6, 162 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black top
and grey pants. He left his home on foot in an unknown direction. He has also left his prescribed medication behind. There has been no contact with the juvenile since he left early Monday evening.
