GREAVES-GEORGE-KENNETH

Lexington Police arrest man, say he was following juvenile girls

George Kenneth Greaves, age 51, of Batesburg, has been charged with two counts of Disorderly Conduct, after incidents he’s alleged to have been involved in late last month in the Town of Lexington. Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green announced the charges, Friday.

On the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 23, officers were dispatched to an incident at the Lexington County Public Library, located at 5440 Augusta Road in Lexington, where it was reported that a man was following several juvenile girls around and appeared to be masturbating with his hand in the front of his pants.

On the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 30, officers were dispatched to Dollar Tree, located at 5570 Sunset Boulevard in Lexington, where it was reported that a man approached a juvenile girl and tried to speak with her.  The victim stated that she saw the man touch his genital area outside of his pants and then saw his hand inside the front of his pants.

During these investigations, detectives shared photographs of the alleged subject with local media and on the department’s Facebook and Twitter pages.  Tips were provided that assisted in identifying George Greaves as the alleged suspect in both of these incidents.

George Greaves was arrested and transported to the Lexington County Detention Center.  When seen at Lexington County Bond Court, he was given a surety bond of $257.50 for each charge.
