Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died in a single- vehicle accident in the 1300 block of Nazareth Road in the Lexington area of Lexington County, Monday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Christopher Areheart, 70, of Lexington was traveling northbound on Nazareth Road when he traveled off the left side of the road, hit a utility pole, and a tree. Mr. Areheart, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the incident.
