Lexington man arrested on charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor

Patrick Ryan Greer (age 40) of Lexington was arrested on four charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor. South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest. Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department made the arrest.  

According to WIS-TV, arrest warrants from the South Carolina Attorney General’s office, state that Greer, sent money online to a 16-year-old girl in exchange for nude photos. (Click here to see WIS-TV report)

Investigators state Greer manufactured and distributed files of child sexual abuse material.  

Greer was arrested Tuesday. He is charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, first degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 20 years imprisonment on each count; and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment.

The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
