Lexington man arrested, accused of playing a role in 2023 death
Lexington County deputies arrested a man this week accused of two crimes connected to a homicide in 2023.
Roosevelt Erik Garway Jr., 23, is charged with accessory before the fact of murder and criminal conspiracy, according to arrest warrants.
“Detectives have continued to interview people associated with the investigation into the shooting death of Tony Etheredge Jr.,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “As a result of their diligent work, they’ve determined Garway assisted Allon Adams and Cady Keener before they fatally shot Etheredge.”
Adams and Keener shot Etheredge while trying to rob him on Parrish Road in December 2023, according to Koon. They were arrested in 2024 and are awaiting trial.
“Adams and Keener eventually discarded Etheredge’s body in Black Creek, where investigators recovered it in February 2024,” Koon said.
Garway is being held in the Lexington County Detention Center.
