Lexington District 2 announces the hiring of a new assistant principal for instruction at Airport High School
Lexington School District Two announces the hiring of a new assistant principal for instruction at Airport High School for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Denise Fowler, who has nearly 20 years of education experience, is currently an assistant principal at Richland Northeast High School in neighboring Richland Two. Her hiring at Airport was recommended by Superintendent Dr. Brenda Hafner and approved by the Board of Trustees at a special-called meeting on May 7.
Fowler started her education career in 2005 in Pennsylvania, first as an English teacher with the School District of the City of York, then moving in 2012 to become assistant principal with South Western High School, in the South Western School District. She moved to Richland Two in 2014 as a federal grant director before taking on her current role in 2015 at Richland Northeast High School.
Fowler has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The State University of New York and a M.Ed. from York College of Pennsylvania.
“I am so excited to join Lexington Two and Airport High School,” Fowler said. “I look forward to building positive relationships with the staff, students, and community as an Eagle, and I hope to bring my experiences and knowledge to assist the school and district in achieving our goals and helping all learners succeed.”
Fowler will begin her new role on July 1.
