Lexington County’s Recycle Day is Saturday

As part of Lexington County’s Green is Clean Month, residents will have the opportunity to recycle electronics, household hazardous waste, shred documents and donate slightly used shoes at the Recycle Day event scheduled for April 29, 2017 at White Knoll High School from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  This is also a statewide collection event of household and farmer pesticides.

This event is being hosted by the County of Lexington Solid Waste Management Department and Public Works Department, Stormwater Division, in partnership with Lexington Countywide Stormwater Consortium, Keep the Midlands Beautiful, and the South Carolina Department of Agriculture.

When: Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: 5643 Platt Springs Road, Lexington (White Knoll High School parking lot)

What: The following will be accepted from residents for recycling:

*Electronic Waste (TVs, Computers, Monitors, Printers, Mobile Phones) must be recycled and not placed in the garbage in accordance with the SC Code of Law, 48-60-05 et seq. Residents should keep electronics intact for the purpose of recycling.
