Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has released the name of a pedestrian who died after being struck by multiple vehicles Thursday morning on I-20 eastbound at mile marker 65.  The incident occurred at approximately 5:40 a.m.

Christy Mildred Branham, 46, of James Dunbar Road, Pelion, died at the scene after being struck.  An autopsy indicated that the cause of death was due to blunt trauma to her body.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office and the SC Highway Patrol are investigating the incident.
