Lexington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrest man accused of assault
UPDATE on Dec. 15 at 7:49 a.m.: Deputies arrested Owens over night after finding him walking along Old Charleston Road. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lexington County Detention Center.
The Lexington Sheriff’s Department is looking for a man after it was discovered he was not in a house being searched by deputies in Gilbert, Tuesday.
Alexander Owens, 30, is facing two pending charges in connection to this incident: first-degree assault and pointing and presenting a firearm at a person. Call Midlands Crime at 888-274-6372 to share tips on Owens’ location.
Owens is accused of threatening a family member at a home on Blackthorn Drive. Blackthorn Drive was blocked at Two Notch Road Tuesday afternoon while deputies tried to make contact with Owens. Deputies also searched the immediate area around the home to try to find Owens. Blackthorn Drive was later reopened.
