Lexington County Sheriff’s Department working to locate teen
Lexington County Sheriff’s Department investigators are searching for a Columbia teen who hasn’t been seen or heard from in more than three months.
According to investigators, Thomas Neil Thurman was last seen by his parents on Aug. 24 as he left for the late bus to Irmo High School.
“Thurman’s father tells us Thomas was running late that morning and was last to leave the home,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “Thomas has a history of running away, but his father says this is the longest his son hasn’t returned home.”
Thurman is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 125 pounds. He was last seen wearing light colored jeans and a light blue polo with three stripes.
Koon said anyone with information on Thurman’s whereabouts should contact the department by calling 803-785-8230. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crimestoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
