The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department began conducting an investigation, Thursday, into drug and human trafficking Thursday at multiple locations throughout Lexington County. The multi-agency operation includes the West Columbia Police Department, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division – SLED and the Department of Homeland Security.

The operation includes a significant law enforcement presence at various locations in the West Columbia area of the county. There is no ongoing threat to the public at this time.
