Lexington County man arrested in connection to a Friday morning shooting
Lexington County deputies arrested a man Saturday who was wanted in connection to a shooting that happened Friday morning near Pelion.

Jacob Mitchell Hill, 32, is charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon by someone convicted of certain crimes and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to arrest warrants.
“Based on the information detectives have gathered during their investigation, Hill shot a man at a home on Hartley Quarter Road Friday morning,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “The shooting followed a heated argument between the two men and happened in front of multiple witnesses.”
The victim was shot in the midsection and remains in critical condition, according to Koon.
“Deputies searched for Hill throughout Friday and early Saturday,” Koon said. “They found him hiding in a shed on Adams Road.”
Deputies arrested Hill on the Adams Road property. He is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center
