Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died in a single-
vehicle accident in the 5800 block of Fairview Road in the Batesburg area of Lexington County at approximately 12:30 a.m., on Sunday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Anthony Davon Leaphart, 46, of Leesville was traveling eastbound on
Fairview Road when the vehicle he was operating left the right side of the roadway and hit a tree. Mr.
Leaphart, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries he
sustained in the accident.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate
the incident.
