Lexington County Fire Service personnel rescued a woman and her dog after both fell down a 30-foot well near Lake Murray last Saturday.

The rescue took place in the 100 block of Yachting Circle, off Yachting Road, about 6 p.m.

Firefighters found a woman who had fallen down the well, while attempting to retrieve her dog, who had fallen into the well, first.

A firefighter was lowered into the well for the rescue with a haul-and-lowering system.
