The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department opened a death investigation, Sunday, at a home in the 200 block of Oak Ridge Lane. The County of Lexington, SC Fire Service responded to an overnight fire at the house. Firefighters found a body in the home.

A man with multiple injuries was found inside a shed on the property. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, and is expected to recover. Investigators are processing the scene and collecting potential evidence. Neighbors should expect a law enforcement presence at the home for as long as 48 hours.
