Lexington County Fire Services is currently on the scene, at 9 a.m., of a tractor-trailer fire on Interstate 26 westbound near mile marker 130, near the Sandy Run/ Swansea area.

The vehicle is fully involved, and crews are actively working to put out the flames. All westbound lanes are temporarily closed while firefighters handle the situation. Drivers should avoid the area and expect delays. We will provide an update as soon as the lanes reopen on the County’s social media pages.
