Lexington County Fire Service responded to a fire in the Shoppes at Flight Deck in the area of Old Chapin Road and West Main Street (US-1) Saturday. The call came in just before 7 a.m. A structure fire was reported at Ferraras Pizza and Pasta, at 109 Old Chapin Road in the Town of Lexington.

Fire officials say crews found the restaurant to be full of smoke, but no active fire present inside the building. Firefighters were able to ventilate the smoke out of the building and determined that a fire had originated within the business, but burned itself out prior to spreading.
No one was injured during the incident and damages to the structure were minimal.
