The Lexington County Fire Service responded to a structure fire at around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday. It was in the 100 block of Hilltop Road in the Red Bank area.

Heavy fire was coming from the two-story home as units arrived on scene. Five people were displaced as the fire caused severe damage to the home.

One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene to control traffic in the area. Boiling Springs Road was closed until the scene could be cleared. The Red Cross was contacted to assist the family. The cause of the fire is still being determined.
