From Lexington County Communications – Lexington County Fire Services and EMS units responded to the 700 block of Archwood Street in Gaston for a residential structure fire Monday afternoon.

Upon arrival, crews found a fully-involved double-wide mobile home with heavy smoke and flames coming from the home.

Water-shuttle operations were established and firefighters began an exterior fire attack, before moving inside and extinguishing the rest of the fire.

The mobile home was determined to be a vacant dwelling with no occupants inside. No civilain injuries were reported, but one firefighter received minor injuries. That firefighter was treated on scene by EMS and released.

Fire units were still on scene (around 5:30 p.m.) ensuring the fire was fully extinguished and to investigate the cause of the fire.
