Lexington County emergency vehicles to sound sirens at 7 p.m. Friday in “Sirens for Solidarity” effort

As the community rallies together to beat COVID-19, Lexington County wants all residents to know that emergency responders providing the highest levels of service possible.

The county wants to ensure you know that first responders are on the job 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. So all emergency services and law enforcement vehicles throughout the county that are not in the process of responding to a call will, from a stationary location, will sound their siren on at 7 p.m. The effort is called “Sirens for Solidarity.”

It is being done through a partnership between county responders and the county’s municipal partners.
