Deputies at the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department are working to make sure 16-year-old Stephanie Valverde is safe.

There is no reason to believe she’s with someone she doesn’t know well or in any danger, according to the LCSD. Her family said she willingly left her home in Gaston Feb. 25 without her daily medicine.

Stephanie was last seen wearing a light-colored sweater, a white shirt and black leggings. She’s about 5’5” tall and weighs 140 pounds.
