Lexington County Coroner update on Dennis Reidy, homeless veteran found dead in Lexington
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has issued an update regarding Dennis E. Reidy. The homeless U.S. Veteran was found dead last Tuesday, in a wooded area off of Chariot Street in Lexington.
According to Fisher, the American Legion Post 193 and Fort Jackson National Cemetery have been assisting with funeral service arrangements for Reidy.
The service has not yet been scheduled; however, the date will be released when available and all who would like to attend are welcome.
The Patriot Guard Riders, along with many other groups committed to the respectful remembrance of veterans, will be present to honor Reidy’s life and service to our country.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office is unable to accept any donations, but we would like to express our appreciation to all who have offered to assist with the arrangements for Mr. Reidy.
If anyone would like to make a donation in his memory, they are certainly welcome to do so. The Patriot Guard Riders, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and several other organizations dedicated to assisting and remembering U.S. Veterans will gratefully accept donations.
