Lexington County Coroner releases the identity of the Brookland-Cayce student who lost his life in I-26 crash

Lexington County Coroner, Margaret Fisher, has identified the person who died in a single vehicle collision near the 110-mile marker of Interstate 26 westbound in the West Columbia area of Lexington County at approximately 12:10 A.M. Sunday. 

According to Coroner Fisher, Mr. Rysaun D’Marian Foster, 17, of West Columbia was traveling westbound when the vehicle he was operating left the right side of the roadway striking a tree. Mr. Foster was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead due to his injuries. Another occupant in the vehicle was transported to an area hospital with injuries. 

The West Columbia Police Department and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the incident.
