Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher is releasing the autopsy results of the person found dead
along the shoulder of I-20 Westbound at MM62 on February 2, 2024.

The person who was positively identified as Miss Stephanie Chanel Quintana, 22, of Columbia was found
dead on the shoulder of the highway by a passerby on Friday morning of February 2, 2024 at approximately 7:15 a.m. Her autopsy was completed Monday at the Medical University of South
Carolina in Charleston.

The results indicate that Miss Quintana died of blunt force trauma resulting from being struck by a vehicle
sometime after approximately 12:30 a.m., Friday. The vehicle that struck Miss Quintana has not been identified at this time. Any further information will be released by the South Carolina
Highway Patrol as they continue to investigate this case.
