Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died in a two-vehicle accident in the 5000 block of Sunset Blvd in the Lexington area of Lexington County on April 1, 2025.

According to Fisher, Mrs. Margie Hayden Cook , 70, of Pelion was pulling out of a parking lot when she was hit by a vehicle traveling westbound on Sunset Blvd. Mrs. Cook, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
