Lexington County Coroner identifies woman, 23, killed on I-26
Lexington County Coroner, Margaret Fisher, has identified the individual who died
after being hit by an unknown vehicle near the 106-mile marker on Interstate 26 westbound around 11:45 P.M., Monday.
According to Fisher, Ms. Sierra Lachelle Parker, 23, of Columbia was in the westbound lanes when she was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene. Ms. Parker was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries sustained in the collision.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and MAIT continue to investigate the incident.
