Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound that occurred in the 100 block of Cherry Hall Drive in the Town of Lexington shortly after 6 p.m. on Sunday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Allen Russell Meadows, 52, of Lexington was pronounced dead at the scene.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division continues to investigate.
