Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died as a result of a single-vehicle accident on Charleston Highway at approximately 5:45 p.m. Friday, in Lexington County.

According to Fisher, Mr. Keith Russell Defee, 61, of Gaston was traveling southbound when his vehicle went off the right side of the road, struck a culvert, and overturned. Mr. Defee, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries. The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
