Lexington County Coroner identifies man who died after being hit on Charleston Highway, Monday night

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died in a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident in the 2400 block of Charleston Highway in the Cayce area of Lexington County at approximately 8:20 p.m., Monday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Brett Sterling Lamb, 40, of Cayce was walking across Charleston Highway when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound. Mr. Lamb was pronounced dead on the scene due to the injuries he sustained. The driver remained on scene and was not injured.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the Cayce Police Department continue to investigate the incident.
