Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher is releasing the identity of a man who was shot and killed
during an incident on Thursday, shortly after 8 p.m. on Glenn Road, West Columbia in Lexington
County.

Fisher states that Mr. Michael Duane Funny, 66, of West Columbia, was shot multiple times in
the upper body and died at the scene from the injuries he sustained. Two others were injured and
transported to an area hospital where their conditions are currently unknown.
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate this incident.
