Lexington County Coroner identifies man killed in crash involving tractor-trailer on I-26

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died in a multi-vehicle accident near the 130 mile-marker eastbound in the Swansea area of Lexington County at approximately 7:06 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Ulysses Donell Green, 36, of Blythewood was traveling eastbound on I-26 when he struck the rear of a tractor-trailer. Mr. Green, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the
incident.
