Lexington County Coroner identifies Georgia man killed in I-20 wrong-way collision

Lexington County Coroner, Margaret Fisher, has identified the person who died in a two car collision near the 53 mile marker of Interstate 20 westbound in the Lexington area of Lexington County at approximately 1:50 A.M. on Sunday.  
 
According to Fisher, Mr. Brian Francis Vyhnal, 55, of Hephzibah, Georgia was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-20 when he collided head-on with an SUV near the 53 mile marker. Mr. Vyhnal, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries. The SUV struck by Mr. Vynhal’s vehicle was occupied by three adults and one minor. The occupants of the vehicle were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. 
 
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office
continue to investigate the incident.
