Lexington County Coroner, Margaret Fisher, has identified the individual who died in a multi-vehicle collision in the 700 block of Old Charleston Road in the Pelion area of Lexington County at around noon on Monday.

According to Fisher, Ms. Madison Taylor Hayden, 21, of Gaston was traveling northbound on Old Charleston Road when she struck a dump truck and was then struck by another vehicle. Ms. Hayden, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Pelion Police Department and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the incident.
