Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the Individual who was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Forts Pond Road near Chaney Road in Pelion at approximately 5:30 p.m., Friday.

According to Fisher, Karly Grace Hunt, 10, of Gaston was transported by Lexington County EMS to Lexington Medical Center where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival due to the injuries she sustained in the accident. Four other occupants of the vehicle were transported also with non-life threatening injuries.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
