Lexington 2 students will stay home Thursday for virtual classes because of severe weather forecast
Dawn Kujawa-Lexington Two Schools – All Lexington Two students will have a remote learning day on Thursday, March 18, in an abundance of caution due to forecasts of potentially severe weather.
School buildings will be closed. There will be no athletics, clubs, activities, and/or events held on school grounds. After-school programs and adult education classes are also cancelled.
The latest National Weather Service forecast includes the potential for damaging winds, tornadoes, and heavy rains. Weather officials are encouraging residents to have a plan for safe shelter during severe weather and multiple ways to monitor weather warnings.
The district will continue to monitor weather conditions, in consultation with emergency management officials, and will update Lexington Two families during the day Thursday as needed. Watch local media for storm-related updates as well.
