Lexington School District Two students will return to school for the 2017/18 school year on Thursday, Aug. 17.

Lexington Two will be closed for students and staff on Monday, Aug. 21  (due to the eclipse.)

As many as one million people are expected to be in the Lexington Two, Lexington and Richland County area to view the eclipse. Science teachers will be stationed at the West Columbia Riverwalk to answer questions about the once-in-a-lifetime solar eclipse during Solar Fest West, from noon-until 4 p.m..

Lexington Two serves students in the communities of Cayce, West Columbia, Springdale, Pine Ridge and South Congaree.
