Lexington 2 schools preparing for the possibility of inclement weather Friday
Weather forecasts for Lexington County suggest the possibility of a wintry mix beginning in the very early morning hours of Friday.
Based on the possibility of bad weather, Lexington Two will monitor weather forecasts and consult with local, county and state officials regarding potential storm impacts on school operations.
On Wednesday district administration was preparing instructional plans for a number of weather scenarios. The district- in an email- also asked families to prepare contingency plans, should inclement weather forecasts make it necessary to move students to an eLearning Day on Friday.
“The safety of our Lexington Two students, their families, and employees is our top concern, and we encourage you to monitor forecasts and make sure you are prepared for a possible winter weather event.” the email reads.
“We will communicate updates for Friday, January 21, as they become available.”
