Lexington 2 schools get 260,000 masks because of COVID fears
From Dawn Kujawa – Lexington Two Communications Director – Lexington Two continues to stock up on PPE and safety needs, with additional supplies arriving weekly before the first day of classes on September 8.
The district has received a number of items from both the state and from the SC Department of Education — including more than 10,000-plus cloth masks and 250,000 disposable adult masks, 825 disposable gowns, 500 bottles of hand sanitizer and roughly 2,000 bottles of germicide cleaner.
The district also has purchased items including thermometers, disposable kids’ masks, gloves, wipes, shoe covers and more. Keeping employees and students safe is a top priority, and a number of sources are helping the district do just that.
